Discovered by Peanut Butter Wolf, head of the vibrant and refreshing label Stones Throw, while he was still in high school, since then James Pants has released two lps “Welcome” and “Seven seals” and spread his “fresh beat”, an early-80′s sound with influences from 80’s soul, electro boogie, early rap, new wave, and post-punk disco.

But his music defies simple categorization so you’d better listen to his podcast to get your own idea, a 31-minute collection of his own new work, original songs and remixes.
